The WCSC Breakwater Project is an on-going plan with periodic action to keep waves and chop from entering the harbor.
The Breakwater at WCSC consists of thousands of tires banded together and floating vertically on the surface in a single layer, forming two separate walls to prevent waves and chop, from a long fetch of open lake, from entering the harbor.
Vigilant maintenance of the Breakwater walls is vital to the safety of docks, boats and people. WCSC member-volunteers regularly maintain the Breakwater walls.
These pages are maintained by the Breakwater Project Team.
