Welcome to the 4th running of WOW's Derby Dames Race for the Roses!

Shake out your sails, fortify your crew, dust off your best Kentucky Derby hat, and come join us for this budding event.
The roses are blooming. The ponies are running. The sails are filling.
Let’s go outside and play!

THERE ARE NO FEES FOR THIS EVENT

ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY:

  • The regatta is open to all sailboats. Entrants should pre-register online no later than Wednesday, April 29th on the event page of the WCSC website calendar.
  • Since this is a pursuit start race, we need to know before the day of the event what boats are racing in order to calculate a start time and have the competitors’ packets ready.
  • If a boat shows up to race without having pre-registered online by April 29th she will be allowed to race; however, she will be assigned the rating of the pre-registered boat that is next fastest to her. If a boat shows up that is faster than the fastest pre-registered boat, she will have 15 points subtracted from her PHRF rating and her delay times will be lengthened accordingly.

RULES:

The regatta will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2025-2028 and prescriptions of US Sailing, this notice, and the Sailing Instructions.

Where's the pre-registration button???

Go to the event page, scroll waaay down to "Number of People Who Will Attend"

Under that you will find some choices-

* Pre-register a boat to race: Select this if you are entering a boat to race. One party pass is included.
* Party Pass: Select this for your guests (and yourself if you are not entering a boat) who plan to stay for the party. This is so we know how much food (and how many mint juleps) we will need to prepare.
